About this plant
Tulipa 'Ad Rem' is a Darwin hybrid tulip with tall, straight stems topped by large, cup-shaped flowers in orange-red to scarlet tones, finished with a narrow golden-yellow edge and a light fragrance. It blooms in mid to late spring, bringing a bold, clean look to beds, borders, and cut-flower arrangements.
Introduced in 1960 in the Netherlands, 'Ad Rem' translates as "to the point." Broad, pale green leaves emerge early, followed by sturdy stems that hold their form in spring weather. In full bloom, the petals can mellow slightly warmer. Flowers sit above the foliage for easy viewing.
