About this plant
Dahlia 'Baarn Bounty' produces enormous 10-inch blooms blending salmon and apricot tones into a warm bronze overall color. Its informal decorative flowers feature loosely overlapping, gently twisting petals that build substantial, softly rounded flower heads with excellent depth. Blooming begins in midsummer and continues through autumn until the first frosts, providing impressive late-season color.
Introduced in 1974 by Dutch hybridizer D. Bruidegom, 'Baarn Bounty' originated in the Netherlands. Its substantial blooms and warm coloring make it well suited to mixed borders, cutting gardens, and prominent garden displays. Strong stems carry the large flowers above the foliage, creating dramatic focal blooms for seasonal arrangements and garden compositions.
Planting & care
Growing beautiful dahlias starts with thoughtful planting and care. A sunny location, well-draining soil, and consistent attention throughout the growing season help plants develop abundant flowers. Regular watering and feeding encourage healthy growth, while mulch helps conserve moisture. Removing spent flowers keeps plants blooming freely from summer into fall.
