Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff'

Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff' produces brilliant red blossoms that stand out beautifully against its deeply colored, nearly black foliage. A member of the peony-flowered group, its semi-double blooms feature two or more rows of broad petals surrounding a prominent golden-brown central disc. Measuring about 3 inches across, the open flowers have a light, graceful form that balances the richness of the dark foliage. Their exposed centers also provide easy access for bees and other pollinators.

Growing 3 to 4 feet tall, 'Bishop of Llandaff' brings strong color and contrasting texture to the garden from midsummer into fall.
