Iris 'Early To Rise'

Iris 'Early To Rise' is a tall bearded iris with warm, softly ruffled flowers that begin blooming early in the iris season. The standards are a delicate peach, becoming slightly warmer toward the center of the flower, while the broad falls are a clear golden yellow with subtle deeper shading near the shoulders. Bright orange beards create a vivid accent where the peach and yellow petals meet. The combination gives the flowers a warm, sunlit appearance, complemented by upright, sword-shaped green foliage.

Hybridized by Keith Keppel, 'Early To Rise' was registered in 2017 and introduced in 2018. Its early bloom time brings substantial flowers and warm color to the garden before many other tall bearded irises reach their peak. The peach and yellow combination works especially well among blues, purples, soft pinks, and deeper foliage, making it an appealing choice for sunny mixed borders and cutting gardens.
