About this plant
Iris 'Easter Charm' is a tall bearded iris with softly ruffled flowers that open in early midseason. Pale blue standards are delicately edged with yellow-green, giving the upper petals a fresh springlike appearance. Creamy white falls carry touches of soft yellow along the shoulders and portions of the edges, while white beards tipped in yellow brighten the center of each bloom. Upright, sword-shaped green foliage forms tidy fans beneath the flowering stems.
Introduced in 2019 by hybridizer Keith Keppel, 'Easter Charm' received an American Iris Society Honorable Mention in 2021 and Award of Merit in 2023. Its gentle combination of blue, cream, and yellow is particularly suited to cottage gardens, perennial borders, and iris beds, where its light coloring can provide a restful contrast among deeper spring flowers.
