About this plant
Iris 'Sweet Kisses' is a tall bearded iris with heavily ruffled flowers that bloom in midseason. Coral-pink standards rise above soft pink falls overlaid with rosy lavender, with the coloring becoming deeper toward the shoulders. Vivid coral beards reinforce the warm tones and provide a bright focal point at the center of each flower. The blooms have a pronounced sweet fragrance and are held on well-branched stems above upright, sword-shaped green foliage.
Hybridized by Australian breeder Barry Blyth, 'Sweet Kisses' was registered in 2012 and introduced through Tempo Two in the 2012 to 2013 season. Its blend of coral, pink, and lavender gives it a soft warmth that works especially well in romantic cottage plantings, mixed perennial borders, and areas where its fragrance can be enjoyed at close range.
