Iris 'Swept Off My Feet' is a tall bearded iris with rounded, gently ruffled flowers that bloom from early to midseason. The standards are soft orchid-purple, while the broad falls have clear white centers surrounded by rosy violet-purple margins. The darker coloring gathers along the rippled edges in a classic plicata pattern, giving the pale falls crisp definition. Golden-yellow beards provide a warm accent at the center of each flower. Upright, sword-shaped green foliage forms neat fans beneath the flowering stems.
Introduced by Schreiner's Gardens in 2014, 'Swept Off My Feet' combines a relatively compact stature with flowers that remain easy to see within a mixed planting. Its white-centered falls lighten the overall purple coloring and make it useful for transitioning between pale and deeper shades in a border. It is also a documented rebloomer, with repeat flowering reported in Oregon under suitable conditions.
