Iris 'Wonders Of It All'

Iris 'Wonders Of It All' is a tall bearded iris with ruffled, bicolor flowers that bloom in midseason. Soft pink standards form the upper petals, while the falls open with creamy centers surrounded by broad purple margins. Pink style arms continue the coloring of the standards, and bright orange beards provide a warm accent at the center. The clean division between the pale upper petals and deeper falls gives the flowers strong definition. Upright, sword-shaped green foliage forms tidy fans beneath the flowering stems.

Hybridized by Joseph Ghio, 'Wonders Of It All' is a recent introduction offered by Schreiner's Gardens. Its flower stalks reach about three feet and can carry more than seven buds, creating a generous floral display. The combination of pink, cream, and purple works particularly well in mixed borders, where it can connect rosy flowers with deeper violet and purple tones.
