About this plant
Helleborus × ericsmithii HGC 'Ivory Prince' is an evergreen perennial that blooms from late winter to mid-spring. Developed through a breeding program aimed at creating vigorous, compact, and upright hellebores, this cultivar features outward-facing, cup-shaped flowers that open from mauve-pink buds into creamy white blossoms. As the flowers mature, they acquire pink and chartreuse hues, adding depth to their appearance.
'Ivory Prince' has glossy, dark green leaves with silvery veining, which provide an attractive backdrop to the blooms. Unlike many hellebores, the flowers of 'Ivory Prince' face outward, enhancing their visibility in the garden. Additionally, this cultivar was selected for its vigorous growth rate, uniform crop production, and compact, upright habit.

Design tip
Flowers in the quietest months make this worth a sheltered spot within sight of a window or door. Keep it out of hot afternoon sun and layer it with woodland companions for a full, settled look.
