About this plant
Rosa 'Ch-Ching' is a grandiflora rose presenting clusters of rich yellow, double blooms throughout the season. The large flowers open from pointed buds and carry a strong fruity-spicy fragrance that enhances borders, bouquets, or cutting gardens. Glossy new foliage emerges with deep red tones before maturing to dark green, and sturdy, upright canes support recurrent floral displays and occasional rose hips.
Introduced in 2010 by Tom Carruth in collaboration with Christian Bédard, this award-winning selection is a color sport of 'Strike It Rich' and earned the All-America Rose Selections award in its debut year. Known for vigorous growth, excellent disease resistance, and sustained floral abundance, 'Ch-Ching' offers dynamic garden presence and enduring performance.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Grandifloras carry clustered blooms on taller stems, so a sturdy, open framework pays off.
