About this plant
Rosa 'Cheri Kolorscape' is a shrub rose that blooms in clusters of cherry-red flowers maturing to pink, produced continuously from mid‑spring through fall. These lightly fragrant blossoms are set atop dense, glossy dark green foliage that resists disease and maintains a clean appearance throughout the season. The rose forms a rounded, compact mound, making it ideal for containers, hedges, mass plantings, or small gardens. Pollinators are drawn to its abundant floral display.
Introduced by Kordes in 2016 as part of their Kolorscape® series, this award-winning selection was bred in Germany. It is prized for its heat and drought tolerance, continuous flowering without deadheading, and adaptability to varied climates. Its long-lasting blooms and tidy structure add lasting charm and color to garden designs.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Shrub roses need only light thinning, keeping their natural full shape and repeat bloom.
