About this plant
Rosa 'Head Over Heels' is a shrub rose known for its full, frilled blossoms in soft lavender‑pink tones. Blooming in flushes from late spring into autumn, the flowers carry a gentle, sweet fragrance and are presented atop glossy, dark green foliage. Its rounded form and near‑thornless canes make it ideal for beds, containers, or low hedges, while the prolific blooms attract bees and butterflies for added garden interest.
Bred by Peter Ping Lim in the United States and introduced by Bailey Nurseries in 2014, 'Head Over Heels' belongs to the Easy Elegance® collection. It earned recognition from the American Rose Trials for Sustainability for its disease resistance, reblooming reliability, and extended flowering season. This rose offers a blend of ornamental appeal, garden toughness, and floral abundance.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Shrub roses need only light thinning, keeping their natural full shape and repeat bloom.
