About this plant
Rosa 'Julie Andrews' is a hybrid tea rose showcasing large, fully double blooms in intense fuchsia‑pink with a golden-yellow reverse. The pointed buds open to reveal frilled petals that emit a rich, spicy fragrance with notes of anise, tarragon, and rose. Blooms appear in repeat flushes from late spring through fall, supported by glossy dark green foliage and an upright, bushy habit that frames its radiant flowers beautifully.
Developed by Delbard in France and introduced in the U.S. in 2020, this rose was named "Most Beautiful Rose of the Century" at the International New Rose Competition in Lyon. Its combination of color, scent, and repeat-flowering performance make it a luminous addition to gardens, cutting beds, and containers.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
