About this plant
Rosa 'Koko Loko' is a floribunda rose with a unique palette of chocolate-mocha, lavender-blushed tones that shift to apricot and soft pink as blooms age. The medium-sized flowers open from long pointed buds into full, vintage-style blooms with a mild fragrance. Glossy green foliage supports abundant blooms in repeated flushes from early summer into autumn.
Introduced around 2010, this rose has become renowned for its unusual chocolate‑lavender coloring and dependable flowering. Its disease-resistant nature and long-lasting petals make it highly desirable for cutting gardens, containers, or mixed plantings that benefit from an elegant, shifting color display.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Floribundas bloom in generous clusters, and light shaping keeps the framework rounded and full.
