About this plant
Rosa 'Meicoublan' (commonly called White Meidiland) is a groundcover/landscape rose that produces clusters of pure white, double blossoms repeatedly from late spring through fall. The blooms are held above glossy, dark green foliage that remains clean and disease-resistant throughout the season. The flowers carry little to no fragrance, allowing the visual display to take center stage.
Developed by Meilland in France in 1987, this rose is one of the most prostrate members of the Meidiland series. Its spreading habit makes it ideal for bank plantings, edging, or as a low hedge. Its strong performance, minimal upkeep, and long blooming habit have made it a favorite in mass plantings and landscape designs.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Groundcover roses spread low and wide, needing little more than a spring tidy.
