About this plant
A repeat-flowering climber, Rosa 'Meiroupis' features old-fashioned double blooms that range in color from soft shell pink to warm tones of peach and apricot. Its petals form rounded rosettes with a densely packed center, creating a romantic, ruffled appearance. The color may shift subtly with temperature or light exposure, allowing a garden display that evolves throughout the season.
This fragrant rose has a sweet, fruity scent, which is especially notable during peak bloom in late spring and continues intermittently through summer and fall. The plant's upright, arching habit makes it well-suited for trellises or obelisks in sunny garden spaces.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Climbers bloom best when the long main canes are tied out horizontally along their support.
