Rosa 'Miss Manners' is a grandiflora rose that features large, double, shallow-cupped blooms in a soft-to-deep pink palette. The petals unfold from pointed buds and carry a mild, fruity fragrance. Blooms appear in repeating flushes from late spring through summer, resting above glossy dark green foliage that supports a polished presentation. Upright and tidy, the plant's form enhances its bloom performance in garden beds, borders, or as cut flowers.
'Miss Manners' is prized for excellent disease resistance including rust, mildew, and black spot. The blooms, often produced singly but sometimes in small clusters, hold their color well and maintain their form throughout various weather.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Grandifloras carry clustered blooms on taller stems, so a sturdy, open framework pays off.
