About this plant
Rosa 'Parade Day' is a grandiflora rose that bursts with large blooms of fuchsia‑pink streaked and splashed with white. The flowers appear in profuse clusters from late spring through fall, with a strong citrus‑spice fragrance filling the air. Glossy dark green foliage supports upright bushy stems. The color holds well until the petals drop, and the rose offers excellent cut‑flower potential thanks to its showy, long‑lasting blossoms.
Introduced in 2018 by Christian Bédard, 'Parade Day' combines excellent disease resistance with reliable bloom cycles. The rose draws attention in garden beds, borders, or containers thanks to its bold coloration and strong floral presence.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Grandifloras carry clustered blooms on taller stems, so a sturdy, open framework pays off.
