About this plant
Rosa 'Paradise' is a hybrid tea rose that reveals lavender‑mauve blooms edged in deep magenta. The large double flowers bloom in flushes from late spring through fall and release a strong rose scent. Glossy dark green foliage frames each blossom, supported by upright stems good for display and cutting. As the light shifts, petals may lighten to pink tones, adding subtle color variation in the garden.
Bred in the United States by O.L. Weeks in 1975, 'Paradise' is appreciated for its durability and floral beauty, offering long‑lasting blooms that retain color through changing conditions. The rose brings elegance and a romantic palette to beds, borders, or mixed garden settings.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
