About this plant
Rosa 'Princess Charlene de Monaco' is a hybrid tea rose with full double blooms that range from light apricot to shell pink and feature ruffled petals. Flowers appear in repeat flushes from late spring through fall. The petals are carried mostly singly atop long stems, and bursts of strong, sweet‑fruity fragrance fill the air when blooms open. Glossy dark green foliage frames each blossom and supports graceful showy stems fit for cutting.
Bred in France by Alain Meilland, this rose was introduced around 2012. It carries large petal counts-upwards of 60-100 petals per bloom-and is prized for its disease resistance and rain‑tolerant blooms. Its large blossoms, fragrance, and elegant floral form bring noble presence to gardens or bouquets.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
