Rosa 'Queen Elizabeth' is a grandiflora rose with clear, silvery‑pink blossoms that emerge in flushes from late spring through fall. The high‑centered to cupped blooms are borne singly or in loose clusters and give off a mild tea fragrance. Glossy, deep green foliage frames each bloom and maintains a healthy, elegant backdrop.
Developed in the United States and introduced in 1955, this rose honored Queen Elizabeth II. It combines vigor, repeat blooming, and refined color to earn its place among classic garden favorites. Its upright, regal form and persistent floral display make it ideal for use in beds, as a specimen, or in hedging.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Grandifloras carry clustered blooms on taller stems, so a sturdy, open framework pays off.
