About this plant
Rosa 'Radyod' (commonly known as Blushing Knock Out®) is a shrub rose that features clusters of soft pink, single or semi‑double blooms throughout the growing season. The blossoms open from buds and often fade to a gentler shell‑pink tone as they age, highlighting their clean, pastel appeal. Foliage begins mossy green and transitions to a deeper blue-green hue, offering visual contrast to the delicate flower color.
This rose is a sport of the original Knock Out® rose series, bred for disease resistance and ease of maintenance. Flowering runs nearly nonstop from late spring until frost, and the plant often produces orange-red hips later in the season, adding extra interest beyond the blooms.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Shrub roses need only light thinning, keeping their natural full shape and repeat bloom.
