About this plant
Rosa 'Stiletto' is a hybrid tea rose opening with large, exhibition‑style double blooms of deep magenta that hold their color without fading. Blooms appear in waves from late spring through fall and emit a strong fruity‑tea fragrance that fills the garden. Glossy dark green foliage frames each flower, and the flowers form on upright, sturdy stems suited for cutting or display.
Bred by Meilland and introduced in 2020 under the name Stiletto™, this rose is noted for its high disease resistance and vigorous growth on its own roots. Its non‑fading color and fragrance make it a reliable choice for gardeners who enjoy both showy blooms and scent.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
