About this plant
Rosa 'Tahitian Sunset' is a hybrid tea rose featuring high‑centered buds in orange‑yellow that unfurl to peachy‑apricot pink blooms with yellow highlights. Flowers emerge in full, double form and appear in repeated flushes from late spring through fall. The rose presents strong licorice fragrance that deepens as flowers mature. Glossy dark green foliage frames each bloom and supports showy solitary blossoms on upright canes.
Introduced by Dr. Keith W. Zary in 2006, this rose combines garden elegance and performance. It offers excellent disease resistance, vivid color shifts in summer sun, and reliable autumn repeats, making it a favorite for both display beds and cutting.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
