About this plant
Rosa 'True Passion' is a hybrid tea shrub rose showing large double blooms in glowing orange‑red tones with dark green glossy foliage. Flowers appear in flushes from early summer through fall, carrying a medium, peppery fragrance. The rose displays strong resistance to black spot, rust, powdery mildew, and downy mildew and produces showy blossoms well‑suited for cutting.
Introduced by True Bloom Roses® and bred by Ping Lim, this rose has an upright habit and continuous bloom that holds color under heat, making it reliable for garden beds, borders, or mass plantings that value both beauty and performance.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
