About this plant
Rosa 'WEKhilpurnil' (Neptune™) is a hybrid tea rose offering cool lavender blooms edged in silvery purple tones. The high‑centered flowers unfold from elegant buds and appear in repeated flushes from late spring through fall, exuding a moderate citrus‑rose fragrance. The blossoms are borne on glossy dark green foliage that holds a polished look and resists many common rose diseases.
Introduced in 2004, this rose has become a favorite for its unusual color and fragrance. Its blooms deepen in cooler weather and maintain form under warm conditions, making it a reliable choice for cutting gardens, specimen plantings, or decorative borders.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
