Dahlia 'Black Satin'

Dahlia 'Black Satin' produces 4-inch formal decorative blooms in deep burgundy-red with rich, nearly black undertones. Tightly layered petals curve inward and overlap in precise, symmetrical rows, creating smooth, rounded flowers with a subtle satiny appearance. Produced abundantly on long stems, the dark blossoms begin flowering in midsummer and continue through autumn until the first frosts.

Hybridized by Swan Island Dahlias in the United States and introduced around 1995, 'Black Satin' is a prolific, tall-growing cultivar.
