Rosa 'Broadway'

Broadway Hybrid Tea Rose

Rosa 'Broadway' is a hybrid tea rose with golden-yellow blooms softly blended with orange and pink hues. Each flower is elegantly shaped with a high, tapered center and gracefully layered petals. Blooms appear in successive flushes from late spring through fall, wafting a rich fragrance of damask and spice. Glossy, deep green foliage frames each bloom on upright canes suited for cutting.

Bred in the United States and introduced in 1986, 'Broadway' continues to be a favorite for both garden display and floral arrangements. Its warm coloration and long-lasting blooms make it a rewarding addition to sunny beds, borders, and cutting gardens.

Planting & care

Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
