Rosa 'Smokin' Hot'
Smokin' Hot Hybrid Tea Rose
Rosa 'Smokin' Hot' is a hybrid tea rose that opens with single to semi‑double fiery red blooms overlaid with smoky purple tones and a white reverse. Blooms emerge from early summer and continue through fall, carried on glossy foliage that begins burgundy‑tinged and matures to deep green. Flowers display long stems ideal for cutting and have a moderate tea‑spice fragrance that enhances its presence in garden beds or arrangements.
Planting & care
Roses reward a sunny, open site with at least six hours of direct light, good air movement, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Water deeply and less often, soaking the root zone while keeping the leaves dry, and mulch with two to three inches of compost or shredded bark held back from the canes. Feed repeat-blooming roses in early spring as growth starts and again after the first flush, then prune in late winter to remove dead or crossing canes and open the center. Long, straight stems make hybrid teas ideal for cutting, so give each plant room and airflow.
