Rhododendron yuefengense is an evergreen shrub grown for rounded, thick-textured leaves and fresh blue-green new growth. In late spring into early summer, usually May to June, it carries clusters of bell- to funnel-shaped flowers that open white to pale pink, adding a gentle bloom display above the foliage.

It is originally from southeastern Guangxi, China, and entered cultivation only recently through modern plant collecting and propagation.
