Retaining its authenticity, a portion of the park embraces the essence of the Pacific Northwest, featuring restored woodlands and natural wetlands adorned with towering evergreen trees, ferns, and indigenous flora along meandering pathways and a suspended bridge. This area creates a serene haven reminiscent of a tranquil countryside trail.

The park also boasts an acclaimed perennial garden, recognized as the largest public perennial garden run entirely by volunteers in the U.S. Visitors can also explore the captivating Yao Garden, complete with a traditional Japanese gate, meandering stream, and reflective pond. Additional highlights include a water-wise garden, a vibrant dahlia garden, and a rhododendron garden showcasing an impressive collection of over 50 varieties.

The Bellevue Botanical Garden also hosts various events throughout the year. These events range from art exhibitions to dazzling light displays during the holiday season, as well as engaging guest lectures. The garden is open daily and admission is free, providing a retreat within the urban landscape, offering a harmonious blend of nature and culture.
