Iris 'Rings True'

Iris 'Rings True' is a tall bearded iris with broad, ruffled flowers that bloom in midseason. The standards are predominantly white with soft lavender shading concentrated along their rippled edges. Broad white falls are outlined by irregular violet-purple margins, with delicate purple stippling and veining extending inward from the edges and shoulders. White beards, touched with pale yellow near the throat, blend softly into the light centers of the falls. Upright, sword-shaped green foliage forms tidy fans beneath the flowering stems.

Hybridized by Keith Keppel, 'Rings True' was registered in 2018 and introduced in 2019. Its combination of crisp white and lavender-purple gives the flowers a light, refined appearance while retaining plenty of definition. The pale centers brighten mixed plantings, while the patterned purple edges make the individual blooms easy to appreciate both from a distance and at close range.
