Iris 'Rings True'

Rings True Iris

Iris 'Rings True' is a tall bearded iris with broad, ruffled flowers that bloom in midseason. The standards are predominantly white with soft lavender shading concentrated along their rippled edges. Broad white falls are outlined by irregular violet-purple margins, with delicate purple stippling and veining extending inward from the edges and shoulders. White beards, touched with pale yellow near the throat, blend softly into the light centers of the falls.

Design tip

Position 'Rings True' against relatively simple foliage rather than a busy mixture of small flowers. The quieter background allows its violet-purple edging to remain visually crisp, while the generous white centers provide a light break among deeper colors elsewhere in the planting.
