Iris 'Bumblebee Deelite'

Bumblebee Deelite Iris

Iris 'Bumblebee Deelite' is a miniature tall bearded iris with petite flowers that open in early midseason. Sunny yellow standards rise above deep maroon-purple falls, where prominent white veining radiates outward from the center and creates an intricate pattern across the dark petals. A narrow yellow edge outlines each fall, echoing the upper petals, while bright orange beards provide a warm finishing accent. Slender stems carry the flowers above narrow, upright green foliage.

Design tip

Take advantage of 'Bumblebee Deelite's' smaller proportions by using it beside low walls, steps, or raised planting areas. Bringing the flowers closer to eye level makes their white veining easier to appreciate and gives this compact iris greater presence in the garden.
